Hiring a Conflicts & Compliance Analyst for our Law Firm client. With hands-on experience doing new client intake, conflicts of interest analysis, ethical walls, and KYC knowledge, you’ll be joining a growing team at this national firm. There is flexibility for hybrid work, but the ideal candidate must have experience working in a law firm. This role is based in Vancouver; however, we are open to applicants in Alberta who qualify.

Our client is a prominent international business firm with over 950 Lawyers located across multiple global offices. The firm provides strategic advice in all areas of business law, catering to a diverse range of clients that include Fortune 100 companies, corporate clients, government agencies, regulatory authorities, non-profit bodies and individuals. ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
The Compliance Analyst will be part of the national team and support new client intake, opening new files, handling conflicts of interest searches, and applying KYC and ethical walls. This is a critical role, and the successful Compliance Analyst must have experience working in a law firm and be able to work under tight deadlines. There is flexibility for a hybrid work model, but 3 days in office are required. There is lots of room for growth and our client supports employee professional development. A degree in a related field is required and completion of a LAA diploma.

ABOUT THE POSITION
Client intake, opening new flies.
Conflict searches.
Documenting and communicating findings effectively.
Reviewing new client intake forms, and ensuring regulatory requirement and policies and procedures are met.
Works with legal assistants and communicates on compliance and procedure.
General support to legal assistants and lawyers.
Identifies potential compliance risk and implements strategies to mitigate risk.

THE REQUIREMENTS

University Degree.
3+ years of experience working in a Law Firm.
Prior hands-on experience conducting conflict searches.
Knowledge of ethical walls, KYC and regulatory requirements.
LAA diploma is an asset.
Must be able to meet deadlines, work with a sense of urgency, and demonstrate the ability to work independently.
Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are required.
A proactive approach and excellent problem-solving skills are necessary to be successful in this role.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

COMPENSATION
Annual salary range is $55,000 - $80,000 depending on experience. Please note, the top of this salary range reflects applicants whose experience exceeds listed requirements. 3 weeks vacation. Hybrid work arrangement, 3 days in office. Excellent benefits that start immediately. Professional development support. Discretionary bonus.
