Impact Recruitment have been retained exclusively by a leading Cannabis company in Langley, British Columbia to find their next COO. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is an opportunity to play a key part in helping the executive team drive the business forward in their next phase of growth.

ABOUT OUR CLIENT
This leading BC based Cannabis company are involved in the production, manufacturing, packaging, sale and supply of a range of products for both recreational and medicinal purposes. Operating from a state of the art production and testing facility, revenue has grown year over year with financial year 2023 being the highest to date.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
This is an opportunity to have a front row seat and direct input into the next phase of this company’s growth. Working directly with the CEO and the leadership team, this is an executive level opportunity with a company that are looking to continue to thrive, grow and expand. The COO will be a key part of the team and will be a vital part in the company’s strategy for continued success.

ABOUT THE POSITION
You'll be responsible for overseeing all daily operational aspects of the business and provide executive oversight of all internal operations, drive innovation, performance, and profitability across the company. The COO will ensure seamless production, superior quality and heightened efficiency while maintaining employee safety and championing company culture. Overseeing a team of 6 direct reports and wider team of 40+, duties and responsibilities will include but not limited to:
• Identify and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs.
• Foster a world class GMP Manufacturing Operations culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
• Work closely with the CFO to develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Provide leadership and direction to department heads and operational teams.
• Provide regular updates on manufacturing performance to the leadership team, including providing workforce and capacity outlooks based on customer insights, orders, and site demand.

THE REQUIREMENTS
• 3+ years experience in a leadership role within a manufacturing environment
• 5+ years management experience
• Bachelors or higher education within a related filed (engineering, business management)
• Strong understanding of GMP principles

COMPENSATION
• Salary: $110,000-180,000 base compensation
• Performance based compensation structure and bonus
• Vacation: 4 weeks
• Extended health coverage
