Description

We are looking for a massage therapist - contractor to join our Spa team. Reporting to the Spa Director, the incumbent will be responsible for performing massage therapy treatments that promote well-being and provide the highest level of relaxation and rejuvenation to our guests. Massage therapy allows our clientele to break away from the everyday and improve their lifestyle through the care and guidance of a professional.

Our massage therapist’s mission is to offer impeccable service to our guests, reflecting our DNA: evolved, captivating, and connected. At the Humaniti Hotel Montreal, we are looking for people who prioritize the human touch and will deliver an experience in line with our wellness concept to our customers.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Use a courteous and discreet approach when welcoming guests, explain the benefits of the treatment, and provide guests with instructions on the necessary preparation for the treatment.
  • Conduct a thorough consultation with guests before their treatment and offer specific follow-up advice tailored to each individual's needs.
  • Perform high-quality massages, body treatments, and therapies while adhering to standard treatment descriptions to ensure consistency.
  • Monitor the condition of massage therapy equipment and report any maintenance or repair needs.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of rooms and stations in accordance with the spa checklist and health and safety standards.
  • Deliver a personalized level of service that exceeds guest expectations, demonstrating proactivity and attention.
  • Act with professionalism and courtesy towards guests at all times, practicing discretion and confidentiality in all interactions and guest-related information.
  • Act in accordance with ministerial policies and procedures (CNESST, INSPQ, and Personal Care Quebec).
  • Stay informed about new industry trends to continually enhance our services.

Skills and Requirements

  • A minimum of (500) hours of training in Swedish massage from an accredited institution.
  • Mastery of at least (2) massage techniques in addition to Swedish massage, such as deep tissue massage, sports massage, therapeutic massage, and hot stone massages.
  • Excellent knowledge of massage techniques.
  • Experience in a luxury spa environment.
  • Being a member of a recognized professional association in Quebec and able to issue insurance receipts.
  • Possess and provide proof of certification and insurance.
  • Reliability, punctuality, and professionalism.
  • Curiosity and interest in learning new techniques and practices.
  • Bilingual (French and English).
