The Workflow Specialist is responsible for providing an advanced level of technical support in the tuning/mechanical assembly/testing of products/components according to customer specifications and industry standards.

This role provides training, coaching and leadership to junior or less experienced operators, assisting them in reviewing drawings/pertinent paperwork, resolving discrepancies; identifying performance/quality issues and monitoring work quality and performance. As well as, in the absence of the department Supervisor ensuring work is suitably assigned and distributed amongst the staff and schedules are effectively managed and maintained.

The Workflow Specialist must monitor and uphold the Company’s safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment and ensure employees use proper PPE and safe guarding equipment.

Produce high quality products and services for our customers. You will test and inspect product and equipment to ensure the highest quality product is provided to our customers. You will be responsible for your work area to ensure the safe and efficient operation of the area. You will set up testing and monitor the production of product in your area and participate in the continuous improvement process at the site to address safety, production and quality improvements.

In addition to supporting the assembly/test of flight hardware assignments, the Workflow Specialist may be responsible for ECN technical approval, MRB attendance, MAP reviews and Drawing check print design reviews.

The Honeywell building is a controlled goods program environment. Candidates must be eligible for CGP and extended Security Clearance.

MUST HAVE

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 3+ years experience assembling/testing aerospace products OR technical certification or relevant experience
  • Experience operating and maintaining machinery in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

  • Knowledge of mechanical vibration testing, electronics system testing, understanding of antenna theory
  • Strong understanding of RF theory and best practices.
  • Read and understand drawings and process documentation
  • Knowledge of EH&S requirements in a production environment
  • EH&S Leadership training
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Able to speak in front of small audience.
  • Knowledge of lean manufacturing, 5S, AS9100 requirements an asset
  • C++, Visio, MatLab
  • First Aid training.
