    Job Description: The Undergraduate Nursing Employee is an unregulated member of the collaborative health care team who provides safe, patient and family-centered care under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN). The role supports the delivery of quality care through assessment support, implementation of care plans, monitoring patient status, and communication with the health care team. The Undergraduate Nursing Employee is accountable for providing care within their education preparation, demonstrated competency, and organizational policies, and seeks guidance when patient needs exceed their authorized responsibility.

    Human Resources Exemption: No

    Experience

    • Min 600 hrs of clinical practice in an approved RN/RPN Nursing education program

    Other Education and Training

    • Successful completion of third yr of an approved RN Nursing education program or
    • Currently in final year of an after-degree RN Nursing education program or
    • Successful completion of second yr of an approved RPN Nursing education program
    • Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (CPR) certificate
