Experience
Previous: Six (6) months previous experience in a hospital setting to gain a basic familiarity with medical and surgical supplies or supplies required in specific departments (e.g., dietary).
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Knowledge of medical and surgical supplies, where required by the job
  • Valid drivers license, where required by the job

ACTIVITIES & ABILITIES SPECIFIC TO SASKATOON HEALTH REGION: ABILITY TO PROCESS PURCHASE ORDERS, APPROVALS FOR PAYMENT, AND REQUISITIONS. ABILITY TO RECEIVE, PROCESS AND VALIDATE GOODS IN A TIMELY FASHION. DEMONSTRATED DATA ENTRY SKILLS. ABILITY TO SHOW INITIATIVE IN ORGANIZING WORK AND TO MAINTAIN ATTENTION TO DETAIL. KNOWLEDGE OF THE ORACLE/DYNAMED INVENTORY CONTROL SYSTEM WOULD BE A DEFINITE ASSET.
The Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) requires a criminal record check (CRC) from every potential SHA team member. The CRC must be dated within the past six (6) months and be satisfactory to the SHA.
