    Job Description: Reporting to the Primary Health Manager, within the context of a client and family centered care model, in accordance with established standards of professional practice, and the vision, mission and values of the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA), the Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and consultation services to children (birth to entry into kindergarten) with speech and language delays and disorders. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

    Education
    • Master of Speech Language Pathology (SLP)
    Knowledge and Abilities
    • Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
    • Demonstrates care for and with clients and families
    • Knowledge of resources available to 0-5 population and caregivers in urban area
    • Knowledge of needs of young children and social and environmental factors
    • Ability to work independently
    • Knowledge of social determinants of health affecting vulnerable populations
    • Knowledge of intervention strategies for youth &families based on best practice 
    • Ability to adapt to and implement change
    • Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work with young children individually and in small groups.
    • Knowledge of speech and language development/disorders and diagnostics
    Other Information
    • Experience and training with the Hanen Program is preferred.
    • Registered/eligible with SK Assoc. of SLPs and Audiologists (SASLPA)
    • Travel required
