Job Description:
The Specialist is responsible to ensure consistent application of planning & improvement tools & methodologies. The position is expected to maintain strategy & improvement standards as outlined in the SHA Roadmap & Strategic Plan. The focus of the Specialist is to organize & oversee improvement initiatives, taking a lead role with key stakeholders, develop project teams, determine the scope, establish target dates, monitor outcomes of the project & provide regular updates for service line integration. The Specialist must effectively work with staff, leaders, physicians to integrate best practices & standards. The position varies in scope & influences the success of system-wide improvement & attainment of organizational goals. The Specialist is responsible to facilitate a quality of culture across a large diverse organization & model a rigorous, consistent approach to quality improvement. The Specialist must be an advocate for staff & patient safety as well as a system sustainability.

Experience
- 3-5 years recognized experience in a complex health care environment
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
- Lean improvement training/certification is an asset.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
