Job Description: The Specialist will provide provincial expertise to the design and development of physician contract and compensation policy, including the development of and adherence to standard work with stakeholders within the University of Saskatchewan, College of Medicine, the Ministries of Health and Education and Saskatchewan Medical Association.  Reporting to the Manager, Contracts and Financial Management, Practitioner Staff Affairs, the Specialist will provide expert advice in support of recommendations and in the negotiation of provincial physician contract, compensation, service agreements, policies and standard work.

The Specialist demonstrates strong leadership to enable an innovative and positive working climate and a client-centric culture.  The Specialist must work cross functionally within the portfolio and across the organization to support operations.  The Specialist will develop partnerships and work closely with system and community partners.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

  • 3-5 years' experience in health care administration in progressive positions.  Experience in contract management and/or working with physicians would be an asset.

Education

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business, Human Resource Management, or Project Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
