Job Description: Medical Imaging Quality Specialists are responsible for performing various key functions within the Medical Imaging portfolio. The Medical Imaging Quality Specialist will support strategic planning and implementation of provincial medical imaging initiatives. This includes information gathering, research and investigation of new knowledge and best practice as well as participation in decision-making discussions for new initiatives. The Specialist will provide support to the Provincial Manager in the strategic planning process and deployment strategies for SHA and affiliate organizations and external partners and stakeholders. They will support medical imaging leaders across the organization, and their teams, to ensure standards are developed, maintained or modified to meet organizational goals. The Specialist will support the development, implementation, and evaluation of new or enhanced work processes aimed at streamlining and standardizing medical imaging practices in facilities across the province and ensure sustainability through design and management of an audit process. The Specialist will interpret accreditation or regulatory standards, and apply them to policy and procedure for the workplace and correcting deficiencies. They will demonstrate knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance, legislation, policy and best practice. The Specialist develops comprehensive project plans for the implementation of identified quality improvement processes and leads implementation across multiple departments and locations region-wide.

Experience
- Experience in medical imaging and quality improvement preferred
- Supervisory experience
- 5 years experience working in Medical Imaging or health care related field
Education
- Medical Radiologic Technology diploma (MRT)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Undergraduate degree in a health related field
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
