Job Description: The Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC) Specialist works closely with the Director in providing guidance on PFCC and patient engagement activities that align with the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) strategic initiatives and continuous improvement activities. The Specialist consults and works closely with leaders, all departments and operation leads and managers to plan, develop and implement successful PFCC strategies including patient engagement throughout the SHA. The PFCC Specialist provides education around the expectations and behaviors that define PFCC, and facilitates the supports needed to achieve measurable results in PFCC. The PFCC Specialist facilitates and provides detailed planning and ongoing consultation that aligns with the provincial priority of Patients First and recognizing patients as partners in all areas of the organization from front line care teams to Governance and Leadership teams. The Specialist will foster existing partnerships, develop new partnerships and work closely with system and community partners. The position is required to work collaboratively with leaders, physicians, and staff within the SHA and must lead through influence rather than authority. This position requires the ability to lead all aspects of the work with limited supervision and to be able to manage an extremely busy work schedule as well as work with numerous competing priorities.

Experience
- Five (5) years leadership experience
- 3-5 years' experience working in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in a healthcare or management related discipline
- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
