Job Description: Operating in a complex and dynamic healthcare environment, the Health Information Management Program Standards and Development Specialist will have specific accountabilities which are aligned to that of Director of Health Information Management (HIM) Program Planning & Support. The specialist will provide direct support to all SHA Health Information Management departments (with focus on HIM services) in the facilitation, planning, development, coordination and monitoring of province-wide programs; and remain current with HIM industry standards, legislation, and technology.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Experience- 5 years experience of team-based leadership within a health care organization
- Health Information Management diploma (HIM)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Diploma in a health related field is acceptable
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
- Degree in a Health or Human Services field acceptable to the Employer
