Job Description: This position provides assessment, screening and brief intervention with individuals/families seeking outpatient mental health and addiction services. The position is in a collaborative, team-based environment requiring strong organizational/ time-management skills and the ability to cope effectively with stress/change/diversity. Primary Responsabilities include screening/initial assessment of individuals referred to mental health and addictions outpatient services; providing brief treatment to individuals/families, which may include individual/group counseling; coordinate other services based on client's needs; refer/collaborate with other community agency if necessary; provide crisis intervention when necessary; attend team meetings, reports writing and file documentation; other related duties as assigned. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"
