Job Description: The Senior Specialist Community Engagement provides strategic leadership in a high-profile, complex environment, fostering strong relationships with government, Health Networks, community stakeholders and SHA teams across the province. This role supports the development and implementation of SHA’s Community Engagement Strategy, advances best-practice approaches through frameworks, toolkits, and communications resources and aligns community engagement with government relations and foundation partnerships. Key responsibilities include strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, operational advisement and measurement of engagement initiatives. By cultivating trusted partnerships and driving innovation, this position strengthens public trust, enhances service delivery and amplifies the province-wide impact of SHA’s engagement and philanthropic efforts.
Experience
- 5 years' experience in communications, public relations, or other health leadership roles
Education
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Business, Communications, Marketing, Health Administration or other health related field
Other Education & Training
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable
Licenses
- Valid class 5 driver’s license
