Job Description:
Reporting to the Manager, Recruitment and Retention Consultants will:
Contribute to the development of the Agency’s short and medium-term direction.
Contribute to the development of the annual plan.
Identify, develop, implement, evaluate and manage risks of recruitment and retention strategies, policies, programs, practices, and tactics in local, national and international environments.
Establish and maintain effective external relationships (e.g. communities, employers, regulators, post-secondary institutions) that support collaboration and advance the annual plan and objectives of the Agency.
Promote the adoption of nationally recognized best practices in the area of recruitment and retention to external partners and use change management and quality improvement principles to influence and support implement of these practices.
Provide specialized and complex information on professional licensure, including required national examinations and assessment pathways, to physicians and health professionals considering Saskatchewan as a place to work/practice.
Build trusting relationships with students, residents, physicians and health professionals to influence their decision on where to work/practice. This includes sourcing and attracting passive candidates and persuading them to work/practice in Saskatchewan.
Utilize, support and troubleshoot software that hosts the job vacancies and candidate profiles to ensure the agency has the insights needed to promote job opportunities and service customers in the recruitment, training and settlement processes.
Lead and maintain relationships with health system employers to ensure quality candidates are referred for current and future vacancies to meet the operational needs of our health system
Actively seek candidates proactively focused on the candidate experience to advance progression in the recruitment process including the promotion of incentives, resources for licensing and career opportunities
Lead and coordinate various tactics, activities and initiatives to increase engagement with potential candidates to maximize visibility and reach such as LinkedIn, events, virtual options, in-person, etc
Travel Required: Extensive local, national and international travel is required
Education
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in human resources or commerce/business administration

Knowledge and Abilities
Three to five years of experience working with diverse and external clients, ideally in human resource recruitment
Knowledge of physician and health professional licensure or immigration would be considered an asset
Demonstrated proficiency Microsoft Word and Outlook and basic skills in Microsoft Excel.
