Job Description: Reporting to the Quality & Safety Manager, the Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist supports a culture of quality and safety through coaching and partnering to develop the behaviors and processes of continuous improvement and safety in everyday practice across the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The position directly supports improvement of our SHA Production System (day to day delivery of service) and the coaching and implementation of the SHA Management System (assess, improve and evaluate the effectiveness of the Production System). The position varies in scope and greatly influences the success of system-wide improvement activity and attainment of Q&S and other organizational goals through quality improvement, lean methodology and leadership behaviors

Experience

  • 3 - 5 years' experience providing leadership in increasingly challenging positions

Education

  • Undergraduate degree or diploma in Commerce, Administration or Health Care Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Licensed and in good standing with professional association and/or regulatory body, if applicable

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • Bachelor of Nursing is acceptable
  • Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
  • Bachelor of Commerce is acceptable
  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor of Health Care Administration is acceptable
