Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the Physical Therapist - Degree - Senior will act as the clinical leader for the Saskatchewan Spine Pathway and Saskatchewan Spine Pathway Clinic. The incumbent will provide support and direction to the physical therapist(s) - degree as necessary, as well as participating in the assessment, treatment, education and evaluation for Spinal Patients.
The Physical Therapist - Degree - Senior will work closely and collaboratively with the referring Primary Care Practitioner and Spine Surgeons to ensure continuity and high-quality care.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in in Physical Therapy
Other Education and Training:
- Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Physical Therapists (SCPT)
- CPR certification at Level "C" is required.
- Level 3 Certification in Advances Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy or greater is preferred
Experience
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience in assessment and treatment of spinal patients.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge and understanding of the Four Patterns of Low Back Pain.
- Demonstrated ability to employ a biopsychosocial approach in the provision of care to the complex patient population.
- Good working knowledge of the continuum of spinal care, as well as public and community resources in the province of Saskatchewan is required.
- Flexible and adaptive approach to the treatment of complex spinal patients.
- Excellent complex problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, communicate and coordinate care with other health care team members.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, families and all members of the health care team with the ability to integrate ideas into a team treatment approach.
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
- Coping skills to work with clients dealing with stress, role loss, and other psychological issues.
