Position: Personal Care Worker (2 Positions)
Expected Start Date: June 23, 2025

Type: Part-time Permanent
Shift Information: 12-hour rotating shifts (days/nights)
Salary or Pay Band: As per LLRIBHS policy

Working 12-hour shifts with a rotating schedule, Personal Care Workers support and supervise individuals with physical abilities; use a team approach to plan, organize and supervise daily activities; prepare and serve meals as planned; administer prescribed medications
The Licensed Group Home is responsible for providing guidance, support and supervision for individuals with Cognitive, Mental and Physical Disabilities that require 24/7 care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support and supervise individuals with physical disabilities
- Use a team approach to plan, organize and supervise daily activities, recreational and other services
- Prepare and serve meals as per plan
- Assess the needs of residents on an ongoing basis
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the Group Home
- Work 12-hour rotating shifts
- Other duties as assigned by the supervisor
Experience:
- Previous home care or childcare experience is preferred
- Experience working with First Nations communities is an asset
Education:
- Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent
- Personal Care Worker, Continuing Care Aide, or Home Health Aide Certificate preferred
Licenses:
- Certified First Aid & CPR and Safe Food Handling Certificate (required or willing to obtain)
- Valid Driver’s License preferred
Other Education and Training:
- Combination of education and experience may be considered
- On-the-job training will be provided
Other Information
- A current and satisfactory Criminal Record Check, Vulnerable Sector Screening and Driver’s Abstract is required upon
hire. Since this position is engaged primarily in serving the interests of Aboriginal people, Lac La Ronge Indian Band
