Job Description: In collaboration with the health care team, the Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide primary health care services to the community of Prince Albert and surrounding area. This includes health promotion, disease and injury prevention, collaboration with and referral to other health care professionals, participating in community needs assessments and participating in evaluative projects as required. The RN(NP) has the added authority to autonomously diagnose, order and interpret diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals, medical devices and other therapies, and performs specific procedures within the RN(NP) legislated scope of practice and is solely responsible /accountable to know and understand the appropriate action of those same guidelines. The RN (NP) utilizes an evidence based holistic approach that emphasizes health promotion and partnership development. The Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner reports to a Manager of Primary Health Care.

Experience
- Three years fulltime experience as a Registered Nurse
- Minimum of one (1) year nursing experience in a primary health setting
Education
- Master of Nursing - Nurse Practitioner (MN-NP)
Licenses
- Basic Cardiac Life Support Level C Certificate (BCLS)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license

- College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
