Nurse Practitioner

Experience

• Minimum three (3) years’ experience as a Registered Nurse.
• Minimum one (1) year experience in community needs assessment, community development and health promotion.
• Minimum one (1) year nursing experience in a primary health setting preferred.

Education

• Certificate in Primary Care Nurse Practitioner or equivalent program (i.e., Registered Nurse - Nurse Practitioner Master’s Program)
• Level C, Basic Cardiac Life Support

• Demonstrates ability to recognize the need for holistic care to individuals, groups, families and the community
• Proficient in peripheral access
• Some knowledge and practical application of central line access
• Advance computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

• Eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse-Nurse Practitioner with the CRNS
• Travel within the region and provincially

• Valid Class 5 driver's license
