Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, Surgical Pathways, the Pelvic Floor Pathway Nurse Practitioner RN (NP) manages and treats acute illnesses, stable chronic conditions, and women’s health concerns. The role includes ordering diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and performing specific procedures. Expertise in women’s health care, particularly in speculum examinations, and preferred experience treating pelvic floor dysfunction, including incontinence and prolapse, are key. Candidates experienced in fitting pessaries or with relevant training are prioritized. The RN(NP) practices within a framework of evidence-based primary care, holistic health promotion, and disease prevention, emphasizing interdisciplinary collaboration, leadership, and research integration to improve patient outcomes. Candidates experienced in fitting pessaries and performing endometrial biopsy are prioritized.

Education
- Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing
- Possession of and ability to maintain current registration as RN (NP) with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Current BCLS certification
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of full-time experience as a Registered Nurse.
- 5 years of full-time experience in an advanced RN(NP) role.
- Preferred expertise in:
- Women's health care, particularly in speculum examinations
- Treating pelvic floor dysfunction, including incontinence and prolapse
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Expertise in bladder and pelvic health, including assessment, diagnosis, and management of incontinence, prolapse, and pelvic pain.
- Proficiency in advanced clinical skills, critical thinking, and decision-making within the RN(NP) scope of practice.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, fostering collaboration and positive outcomes.
- Empathy and adaptability, with a commitment to holistic, patient-centered care.
- Ability to develop and implement educational resources, evaluate teaching effectiveness, and support program development.
- Dedication to ongoing professional development and integrating research into clinical practice.
