Job Description: As a member of Community Care team, the Community Mental Health Nurse is an integral member of the interdisciplinary team providing intensive support to older adults (50 years+) with complex health needs These services are provided within an individual and group context. Responsibilities include intensive case management, medication management, crisis intervention, counselling, goal planning, consultation to community agencies, group/community education, student mentoring, documentation, client/family and public education, advocacy, and mental health promotion.

Experience
- Five years recent experience in community care to clients with mental illness
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
- Workplace Assessment & Violence Education (WAVE)
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Professional Assault Response Training (PART)
