Job Description: The Clinical Resource Nurse is a resource and advisor to the nursing team on professional nursing practice. Primary responsibilities include advising on nursing related topics, including the requirements of Acute care policies and programs, and providing on-site consultation and support to the Surgical Unit nursing teams. The resource nurse will collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team to improve patient centered care and promote inter-professional practice. Strategies include identification of evidence based best practices and tools for risk assessment and management. Further, the resource nurse advocates for advances in the delivery of patient care services. The resource nurse works collaboratively with Patient Care Management and Teams, Quality Services, Clinical Nursing Education and other regional partners to ensure that best, leading and evidence-based practices are used to provide high quality, safe care.

Experience
- 3 years experience specifically in the acute clinical area required
- Preference to those with Surgical Unit experience
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

- Demonstrate empathy/concern & interest in providing care for home care clients
- Knowledge in evaluating and leading process improvement projects
- Ability to operate related equipment & carry out the duties of the position
