Job Description: The Kidney Health Clinical Nurse Educator will be responsible for assisting in establishing and maintaining standards of care through staff education by: assessing learning needs, acting as a clinical resource, promotion of client education concepts, planning, implementation and evaluation of unit orientation, in-service and other educational programming, participating in quality improvement activities and committee work as appropriate, liaising and collaborating with Provincial colleagues as necessary, assisting with interdepartmental and facility interfaces to promote effective delivery of client care to support Kidney Health patients.

Experience
- Experience with Adult education to staff/clients/patients/residents
- Demonstrated competence in project leadership, program planning, and evaluation
- Experience in policy development and health care quality improvement preferred
- Minimum 3 years recent experience in a clinical nurse educator role
- Three years of full-time clinical Nephrology experience in the past five years
Education
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing, Master level preferred
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Master of Nursing, Adult or Continuing Education is an asset
- Registered/eligible for registration with the CRNS as an RN (NP) or RN (GNP)
- CNA certificate in clinical practice area is an asset
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
