Job Description: Under the direction of the Children’s Subspecialty Program Manager, the Clinical Coordinator will be recruited in the division of Children’s Subspecialty Programs - Pediatric GI as well as may support other Pediatric Subspecialty Clinics.  The Clinical Coordinator will work closely with the Gastroenterologists, Nurse Practitioner and Procedure Nurses to best support patients in their healthcare journey; as well as collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to improve the health outcomes of children. The nursing duties would include the provision of comprehensive care to children and adolescents, in outpatient setting; participate in pre/post clinic preparation; communicating with patients and families, including needs-based patient education; discharge planning; advocacy; identifying supply and equipment needs; and assist in shared decision making with patients and families, other allied health professionals and physicians. The Clinical Coordinator will follow up and coordinate investigations through electronic medical records (EMR) system/email /phone to coordinate patients' care.

  • Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable

  • Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable

Experience

  • 5 years nursing in an acute care area, 3 of which have been in a pediatric area and previous Pediatric GI experience is considered an asset

Licenses

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
