Job Description: The Clinical Coordinator for the Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS)/Neuromuscular Disease (NMD) Clinic, under the direction of the Manager of Stroke Services, Neuroendovascular Program, ALS, and MS Clinics, is responsible for the daily operations, organization and functioning of the unit. The incumbent coordinates and evaluates human and material resources to ensure provision of quality patient care. The incumbent promotes and monitors quality nursing care by promoting nursing care standards and by participating in quality improvement and research activities. The coordinator assists with identifying educational needs of the staff, orientation and education, and evaluation of the progress of staff development. The incumbent functions as a role model and clinical resource for nursing staff and all members of the multidisciplinary team on issues affecting patients. The incumbent acts as an advocate and support for patient/family and staff/physicians. The coordinator provides direct patient care as required.

Experience
- Three (3) years experience in a discipline related role
- Five (5) years acute care nursing experience
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Licenses
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
Other Education and Training
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
- Nursing diploma is acceptable
- Psychiatric Nursing diploma is acceptable
