Job description:
Reporting to the Manager, Maternal & Children’s Clinical Integration, the Maternal and Children’s Outreach Coordinator is responsible for the development, coordination, implementation and evaluation of Maternal and Children’s Provincial Programs’ education, quality improvement, clinical benchmarks, safety, and service delivery initiatives.
Experience
- Minimum one (1) year experience in an adult educator role
- Minimum one (1) year experience in program, education and resource development
- 3 years of recent experience in perinatal/obs and/or pediatric nursing
- Minimum one (1) year experience in coordination, implementation and evaluation
Education
- Bachelor Degree in Nursing, Master level preferred
Licenses
- Valid Class 4 driver's license
Other Education and Training
- Advanced maternal child training and/or certification preferred
- Instructor trainer certification preferred eg) FHS, NRP, PEARs, PALS
- Eligibility to pursue or current instructor certification is required

- Support staff & physicians related to maternal/child care.
- Ability to conduct information searches, analysis and literature reviews
- Ability to interpret clinical outcomes and provide recommendations
- Knowledge of regulatory body requirements in policy/procedure development
- Ability to build and maintain relationships based on trust and accountability
- Demonstrates effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to facilitate groups to achieve deliverables
- The ability to conduct needs assessments & develop & deliver presentations.
- Ability to operate audiovisual, clinical and simulation equipment
- Knowledge of adult education/learning principles for programs/strategies
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others as required
- Ability to prioritize, interpret and respond to issues in a timely manner
- Knowledge of clinical guidelines, care standards, benchmarks, service delivery
Other Information
- Registered/eligible with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS)
- Preference to a Master level of Nursing, Education or Health Administration
