Job Description: Under the direction of the Children’s Subspecialty Program Manager, the clinical coordinator will be recruited in the division of Children’s Subspecialty Programs - Pediatric Neuro Surgery as well as may support other Pediatric Subspecialty Clinics. The Clinical Coordinator will work closely with the Neurosurgeons and the inpatient units to best support patients in the pre and post-operative journey; as well as collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to improve the health outcomes of children. The nursing duties would include the provision of comprehensive care to children and adolescents, in both the inpatient and outpatient setting; participate in pre/post clinic preparation; communicating with patients and families, including needs-based patient education; discharge planning; advocacy; identifying supply and equipment needs; and assist in shared decision making with patients and families, other allied health professionals and physicians. The Clinical Coordinator will follow up and coordinate investigations through electronic medical records (EMR) system/email /phone to coordinate patients' care.
