Job Description: The Registered Nurse A is responsible to The Nursing Unit Manager or Director of Nursing. The Registered Nurse A is responsible for maintaining a high standard of patient care in accordance with the vision, mission and philosophy of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region. As a member of The Nursing Department, The Registered Nurse A has the responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive client centered care.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

  • 3 years acute care nursing including 1 year recent Emergency nursing required

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
  • Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certification.

Other Education and Training

  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
  • Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or other trauma assessment course desired
  • Required to complete an Adult Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners training
  • Required to be SANE certified and maintain that certification
