Job Description: The Registered Nurse A is responsible to The Nursing Unit Manager or Director of Nursing. The Registered Nurse A is responsible for maintaining a high standard of patient care in accordance with the vision, mission and philosophy of the Prince Albert Parkland Health Region. As a member of The Nursing Department, The Registered Nurse A has the responsibility for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of comprehensive client centered care.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Experience
- 3 years acute care nursing including 1 year recent Emergency nursing required
Education
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
- Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certitication.
Other Education and Training
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or other trauma assessment course desired
- Required to complete an Adult Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners training
- Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
- Required to be SANE certified and maintain that certification
