Job Description: Provides ongoing mental health and psychosocial client services. Services delivered include screening and assessing client needs and determining relevant treatment plans. Initiates or participates in community development initiatives, participating in PHC initiatives evaluation within site. Promotes quality health care outcomes working within established standards of practice to ensure that clients receive a high standard of primary health care. This will be done in accordance with organization mission statement, policies and procedures. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Experience
- Clinical expertise in assessment, diagnosis &treatment of mental health issues
Education
- Degree in Human Services (Social Work, Psychology, Registered Nurse)
Licenses
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
Competencies
- Verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated skills w/ Addiction and Concurrent disorders assessment/counseling
- Assessment and intervention skills for individual and group theraphy modalities
- Written Communication Skills
Knowledge and Abilities
- Ability to accurately assess addictions and make appropriate referrals
- Knowledge in human behaviour, group dynamics and mental health needs of adults
- Knowledge of group dynamics and facilitation skills.
- Ability to develop educational resources and presentations
- Ability to use health promotion and prevention strategies for program planning
- Knowledge in treating mood disorders
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office, scheduling & training platforms
- Knowledge in individual assessment and counselling skills
- Knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act
- Participate in intake process and promote the development of MHAS delivery model
- knowledge of case management principles
- Strong knowledge of policies and procedures established by Addiction Services
- Knowledge in principles for Alcohol and Drug Misuse Services for Saskatchewan
- Knowledge in family life cycle, systems theory and family violence theory
- Knowledge in addictions screening, assessment tools and procedures
- Knowledge of group work and case management.
- Ability to provide counseling and therapy to individuals, couples and groups
- Demonstrate knowledge in addiction(s) and their effects on the individual.
- Knowledge in assessment, treatment, and consultation

- Registered/eligible for registration with the appropriate licensing body
