Job Description:  Reporting to program area manager, as applicable, the Mental Health Therapist Staff is accountable for provision of direct concurrent mental health and addiction services to adults and their families. These services will include individual, group and family counseling, case management, and public education/consultation in the area of mental health and addictions. The incumbent shall function within the practice principles of the Mental Health and Addictions Services’ program management model.

  • Bachelor Degree in Chemical Dependency or another Degree accepted by employer

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

  • Ability to work independently and as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
  • Ability to conduct client assessments and engage in effective treatment planning
  • Proficient in the operation of word processing, spreadsheet and power point
  • Ability to perceive and analyze problems and effect innovative solutions
  • Sound judgment, tact, initiative and high standards of integrity/responsibility
