Job Description: The Manager of Clinical & Resident Programs is an out-of-scope leadership position responsible for the clinical oversight and quality of resident life within the Home. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), this role provides operational leadership for Nursing Services and Resident Programs (Activity/Therapeutic Recreation).
Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Saskatchewan Long-Term Care Regulations and Ministry standards.
- Provide leadership in resident assessment, care planning, documentation, and evaluation.
- Provide strategic oversight of therapeutic recreation and activity programming.
- Provide direct supervision, coaching, and performance management to nursing and activity staff.
- Conduct annual performance evaluations linked to Out-of-Scope pay band increment eligibility.
- Participate in development and monitoring of departmental budgets.
- Ensure responsible stewardship of clinical and programming resources.
- Lead quality improvement initiatives aligned with Ministry and Board priorities.
- Monitor and report on key clinical indicators.
- Participate in care conferences and complex family meetings.
- Address care concerns in collaboration with interdisciplinary team members.

Experience:
- Minimum 5 years’ clinical experience, preferably in long-term care.
- Minimum 3 years’ progressive leadership experience.
- Experience in a unionized healthcare environment preferred.
Education
- Current registration and good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS) or the Saskatchewan Association of Licensed Practical Nurses (SALPN).
