Job Description: Under the direction of the Director, HR Staff Services - Staff Scheduling, the Manager is accountable for planning, developing, coordinating and management of Staff Scheduling Services for select units/sites within the Saskatchewan Health Authority. The incumbent will utilize an innovative approach of continuous improvement, including collaboration and strategy development, to provide improved service to its clients - striving to support staffing needs in order to best serve Patient/Resident/Client outcomes. Utilizing a continuous improvement management approach, this position will provide support and leadership to the scheduling process. The Manager will foster a cooperative environment for scheduling activities, monitor and support adherence to collective agreements, and develop and support procedures to ensure standardization and consistent application of scheduling of unionized employees.

Experience

  • Five (5) years experience in Human Resources or Health Care Management
  • Experience as a leader who has developed and led innovative planning

  • Human Resources certificate
  • Human Resources diploma
  • Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
  • Bachelor of Commerce (BComm)

  • Responsible to review the service delivery model for scheduling services and implement strategies to enhance service delivery.
  • Serves as a resource in all collective agreement interpretations as they relate to the scheduling function and hours of work.
  • Provides consultative services to staff schedulers, Managers and Business Partners with regards to all staff scheduling business processes.
  • Provides input and participates as required in preparation for CBA and negotiations conducted by Saskatchewan Association of Health Organizations relating to contract language related to hours of work and scheduling provisions.
  • Develops, maintains and delivers teaching and educational material to support the staff scheduling function
  • Manages the content of staff scheduling user reference material, including web site content and hard copy user guidelines
  • Manages the communication of staff scheduling related information, including the scheduling and planning of user group and committee meeting
