Job Description: Performs a variety of analytical procedures, analysis and laboratory duties for the detection, diagnosis, prevention and management of disease and illness.

Education
- Major dependent on specific specialty area:
- e.g. Chemistry required in Chemistry, Microbiology in Microbiology, etc.
- Bachelor of Science Degree with a major in defined science & required courses
- BSC 4 year in Chemistry or Biochemistry; Intro to Chemistry (similar to U of R Chemistry 104 or 105); Organic Chemistry (similar to U of R Chemistry 241); Analytical Chemistry I, II (similar to U of R Chemistry 210, 310/215); Biochemistry (6 Cr. Hrs.); Statistics (3 Cr. Hrs.)
