Job Description:
The Saskatchewan Medical Association is a voluntary professional association for physicians in Saskatchewan, where over 90 per cent of physicians are members. The SMA also represents the vast majority of medical students and residents training in Saskatchewan.
We represent the collective view of the medical profession in Saskatchewan and negotiate for and on behalf of fee-for-service, salaried and alternate payment physicians.
We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time, permanent Executive Assistant, Legal to join our growing team!
This senior-level administrative position provides high-quality, timely and confidential administrative and executive support to General Counsel. This position will represent General Counsel in interactions with staff, members, and external stakeholders, including serving as the primary point of contact for arranging meetings and organizing calendars, and receiving, preparing, and filing confidential communications. This position will also manage the SMA’s resolutions process, ensuring that the process is timely and transparent.
This position is based on-site at our office in Saskatoon, SK, with a voluntary hybrid work option allowing remote work from home up to 2 out of 5 days per week subject to approval under our Hybrid Work Arrangement policy.
Travel Required: On occasion
Education
A University degree and/or college diploma with a minimum of ten years of experience in a senior administrative role, supporting senior leadership OR an equivalent combination of experience and education.
Experience supporting a legal and/or governance role is an asset.
Experience in health care and/or a member association is an asset.
