Job Description: The EMT-P will respond to calls for service as per dispatch instructions, providing assessment, treatment and transportation of ill or injured persons. The EMT-P will cover standby assignment, as operations require. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Education

• Advanced Care Paramedic Diploma (ACP)
• Primary Care Paramedic Certificate from an approved educational institute

Licenses

• Valid Class 4 driver's license
• Registered Paramedic (2011 National Occupational Competency Profile standards)

• Health Care Provider Level C Certificate (HCP-C)
• International Trauma Life Support Advanced Certificate (ITLS)
• Basic Life Support Instructor Certificate (BLS)
• Pre-Hospital Care Program - Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP) Level
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certificate (PALS)
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Instructor Certificate (BCLS)
