Job Description: The Dietitian - Degree - Senior report to the manager and will practice as a Clinical Dietitian. The incumbent is responsible for managing the nutrition care of patients. The incumbent supervises and promotes the activities of registered dietitians in a designated unit within the area of the Integrated Health Services (HIS) to ensure that patients referred to that service receive high quality nutrition intervention. The incumbent is responsible for a clinical caseload and provides direct care to clients.The incumbent collaborates in the development, evaluation and continuing education of dietic interns and other health care professionals of the SHA. They are responsible for planning and assessing treatment policies and practice protocols.

- Supervisory experience is an asset
- Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics
- Leadership skills
- Multidimensional thinking and planning is essential
- Ability to assess/develop/implement/evaluate a comprehensive nutrition care plan
- Requires coping skills to work w/clients dealing with stress/psychosocial issues
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office programs (Word/Excel/Outlook)
- Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others as required
- Requires concentration and attention for resident/patient assessment
- Ability to be resourceful
- Ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external contacts.
- Ability to do research and apply knowledge related to current best practice
- Requires concentration and attention for treatment, teaching and report writing
- Promote professional development of staff and engender job satisfaction
- Knowledge of community resources
- Ability to adapt to changing conditions
- Ability to perform duties by professional stds as per Dietitians of Canada
- Ability to plan, organize/coordinate efforts with other team members
- Other specialty certificates related to the clinical program area as required
- Registered/eligible for registration with the Dietitians of Canada (DC)
- Valid driver's license, where required
- Registered/eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Dietitians
