Job Description: The Clinical Support Nurse is a highly visible and responsive member of the site-wide Code Blue/Outreach team who will assist in providing the critical care interventions required to manage patients with deteriorating conditions ranging from uncomplicated to highly complex. This position will support the stabilization and provide nursing care and monitoring until the patient is received into the appropriate care location. The incumbent also acts a mentor to patients, nursing staff and/or preceptor to learners while demonstrating a caring approach, and understanding of the nursing process, a conceptual model of practice, and the philosophy, objectives and standards of the SHA.

Experience

  • 3 years experience as an RN in an emergency or critical care environment

Education

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Other Education and Training

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certificate (ACLS)
  • Nursing diploma is acceptable
  • Basic Life Support Certificate (BLS)
