Job Description: The Benefits Associate is responsible for the accurate administration of the employee benefit plans. The Benefits Associate provides daily, weekly & annual reviews of benefit eligibility for all employees of the SHA & ensures that the appropriate paperwork is completed in a timely manner. This includes enrolments in the Retirement Plan, Group Life Insurance Plan, Disability Income Plan, Extended Health & Enhanced Dental Plan. The Associate provides benefit plan information and expertise to employees through a deep knowledge and understanding of the SAHO & SHEPP plans. The Benefits Associate provides ongoing support and back-up to the Benefits Consultants & participates in department planning and process review and continually works to analyze and improve processes to assist in ensuring best practice. The Benefits Associate assists in the development and implementation of orientation and retirement sessions and presents information in partnership with the Benefits Consultants.

- Valid Class 5 driver's license

- Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
