Job Description: Reporting to the Manager, the Assessor Coordinator Degree Senior collaborate with patients, families, team members and community based organizations to assist patients in accessing diagnostic assessments for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD) and other teratology related diagnoses. They facilitate, navigate and coordinate the assessment, liaise with multidisciplinary teams/services and have a strong advocacy role in the community. The incumbent will support and facilitate access to FASD related services for children across Saskatchewan. This position collaborates on program development and develops/implements provincial standards of care for FASD assessment, ensuring continuous improvement and ongoing evaluation. The position is accountable for FASD coordination of services within the SHA and builds partnerships with external stakeholders. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Experience

  • Two (2) years experience in pediatrics 
  • Two years experience with children/youth with FASD and their families preferred

Education

  • Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)

Licenses

  • Valid Class 5 driver's license

Other Education and Training

  • CanFASD Multidisciplinary Team Training for Diagnosis of FASD is an asset
  • Bachelor of Speech Language Pathology is acceptable
  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy is acceptable
