Reporting to the Lead, Organization Design & Workforce Planning, the Talent Management Coordinator provides support for strategic talent acquisition and workforce planning programs across HHS. The Talent Management Coordinator supports organization wide talent related projects and the development of related communications, training, policy, resources and tools.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

  • Reviews and updates recruitment and selection tools and resources.
  • Supports research and recommendations related to recruitment and selection best practice.
  • Administrative and project coordination support for large scale recruitment initiatives (e.g. in person/virtual career fairs and employer events).
  • Participates in full cycle recruitment initiatives as required (e.g. difficult to recruit positions, high volume hiring campaigns), engaging in all stages of the process from job posting to offer management.
  • Provide support in researching innovative approaches to source scarce and/or top talent within and out of province (e.g., social media channels, targeted advertising campaigns, job fairs).
  • Prepares recruitment related reports and analyses utilizing myHR, Taleo, and external sources of data/information.
  • Supports organizational social media recruitment strategy, advertising and career site features.  Collaborating with Communication & Public Affairs to facilitate external advertising for difficult to fill roles.
  • Provide guidance to leadership on digital platforms (I.e. Indeed, LinkedIn) including leading practices on candidate engagement, job advertising and talent attraction for complex and difficult to fill roles

     

Training, Resources, Processes, and Policy:

  • Supports the coordination of training programs for a diverse range of stakeholders and user groups from the HHS community (includes administrative tasks prior to, during training and post-training)
  • Assist with the design of workforce planning related training sessions across all levels of the organization (front line employees to executive level). This includes in-person sessions and digital learning (e.g. e-learning, webinars).
  • In conjunction with the Associate and Senior Specialists, participate in continuous process improvement of Workforce Planning programs/processes.
  • Support development and maintenance of tools and templates or policies/ guidelines to support programs/ processes.

     

Project Support:

  • Supports Organizational Design & Workforce Planning team by gathering required data/preparing research, in order to synthesize information to draw conclusions and make recommendations.
  • Supports internal immigration programs for current and future workforce needs. Facilitating employee requests, verifying documentation and implementing standard work.
  • Prepare proposals, reports, communications and presentations for a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Assists with maintenance of project plans and project documentation as required.
  • Prepares communications materials recommendations for final approval to Lead, Organizational Design & Workforce Planning.
  • Utilize continuous improvement methodologies to support informed decision making for operational efficiencies and effectiveness that align with HR strategies.

  • Collaborate with Communications & Public Affairs team to produce creative, engaging communication strategies to a diverse range of audiences
  • Participates in organization wide projects as assigned. 

Qualifications

·         University Degree (Business, Human Resources Management, other relevant)

·         CHRP/CHRL considered an asset

·         2 years’ HR experience in a complex union/non union environment.

·         2 years’ experience in key Human Resources functional areas such as recruitment and selection, workforce planning, people analytics, learning and development, and training

·         2 years’ experience supporting large scale projects, HR initiatives and programs

·         Sound knowledge of relevant legislation (Ontario Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act).

·         Strong understanding of HR systems (Oracle HCM Cloud, PeopleSoft, Taleo, etc.).

·         Advanced technical skills in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Publisher, etc.).

·         Excellent research and analytical capabilities.

·         Exceptional project management skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple and competing priorities simultaneously in a complex environment.

·         Skills in stakeholder management and communications to obtain awareness, understanding, buy-in, and support.

·         Demonstrated ability to make recommendations to leadership and influence business decisions.

·         Ability to establish strong working relationships and collaborate with employees and leaders.

·         Ability to develop and implement complex HR policies, programs, and processes. 

·         Ability to develop and implement unique training programs for multiple stakeholder groups.

·         Sound understanding of adult learning theory, learning needs, performance gap analysis, instructional design, development, and implementation, and evaluation of learning effectiveness.
