Sr. Trauma Data Analyst

The Senior Trauma Data Analysis is responsible for data analysis of trauma (adult and pediatric), burn and research data. Develops reports for high level analysis of the trauma program; determines reported content to ensure external reporting compliance. This includes reports for Trauma Executive, corporate dashboard, annual report and provincial reporting. Identifies gaps and trends in the data and makes recommendations based on findings. Works with the team to help identify areas of quality improvement, innovative ways to review data and support initiatives at a regional and provincial level. Works collaboratively with Decision Support, among others, to link trauma data with other data sources to fulfill reporting requirements as needed in a timely and efficient manner.

The role is responsible for the accurate and timely reporting of trauma data to meet trauma accreditation distinction, regional trauma network and trauma executive steering quality council reporting requirements.

Provides guidance to Trauma Fellows, residents and staff regarding the process of research methodology, grant development and progression of research projects. Advises on written documentation and regulatory requirements required in grant development.
