Retail Pharmacy Manager

Reporting to the Director, Pharmacy Services, the Retail Pharmacy Manager is accountable for: 

  • Managing and facilitating the day-to-day operational issues related to staffing, service delivery, and practice standardization for the 3 HHS Retail Pharmacies; promoting a service orientated philosophy and working to ensure that our customer's needs are being met in a timely, responsive and efficacious manner. 

  • Actively participating in the annual budget construction, ongoing budget management/strategies and retail service promotion

  • The development, initiation and maintenance plans for facilities, equipment and resources related to retail pharmacy activities

  • Collaborating with the Director and Pharmacy Leadership team to implement the service’s strategic direction and to develop and implement annual objectives and strategic plan for Retail Services

  • Developing and implementing processes to measure and evaluate the quality of service and promoting an environment that supports excellence, continuous learning and research.

  • Direct oversight of human resource requirements associated with Retail Services and the Drug Access Facilitators
    The Retail Manager must demonstrate excellent leadership, communication and problem solving skills to facilitate an excellent patient experience, strong partnerships with medical and hospital staff, and maintain high standards of medication delivery services.


Qualifications
1. Current licensure or eligibility for licensure in the Ontario College of Pharmacist.
2. Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or PharmD.
3. Experience in Retail Pharmacy.
4. Demonstrated leadership ability
5. Evidence of commitment to continuous education 
6. Demonstrated excellence in communication, team building and the ability to initiate and model positive change
7. Ability to work in an integrated, multidisciplinary medical environment.
8. Current membership in the Ontario Pharmacist Association preferred.
9. Expertise with KROLL software is preferred.
10. Three years of recent relevant management/supervisory experience in Pharmacy preferred.
