Resilience Integration Specialist

The Resilience Integration Specialist collaborates with interdisciplinary stakeholders to create interventions that acknowledge and mitigate the impacts of trauma exposure and enhance psychological safety across Hamilton Health Sciences through individual, team and organizational strategies.  The goal is to support leaders, staff and physicians to feel energized, inspired, and fulfilled in their work. This is accomplished by creating educational opportunities, systems/processes, team supports, and practices/resources designed to integrate resilience, trauma-informed care, meaning and connection into the flow of the workday.  
 
The Resilience Integration Specialist works collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders to design and deliver services which include: 
• Implementing a model of resilience support grounded in trauma-informed care principles 
• Assessing team needs and coaching leaders to integrate trauma-informed and resilience-building practices to support teams caring for a variety of patient populations
• Providing support to teams through psycho-education, consultation and capacity-building to help them navigate the inherent impacts of doing high-stress, trauma-exposed work
• Serving on hospital committees and working groups to promote psychological safety in the workplace
• Recruit, train and mentor resilience champions across the organization that will help to integrate resilience and trauma-informed care into practice to foster compassionate care and promote joy in work
• Reviewing emerging literature and best practices to engage in knowledge translation to design evidence-based programs, education and resources
• Participating in program evaluation to assess impacts and improve quality of services 


Qualifications

Experience that has the relevance and complexity to demonstrate ability in the following:
• Knowledge and  application of resilience, ecological/systems, mindfulness/compassion, occupational stress, trauma exposed environments, and trauma informed practises
• strategic planning, project management and organizational change processes
• forging strong internal and external partnerships; ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment to reach objectives of the group/unit/team
• consulting, coaching, mentoring to foster resilience and transform culture
• writing for, presenting to, and facilitating to a variety of audiences
• building effective relationships with diverse stakeholders
• developing, planning, organizational, problem solving, and decision-making and conflict resolution skills
• developing, implementing, and delivering training/educational programs for adult learners
• developing, implementing, and delivering strategies for systemic changes to support resilience and psychological safety
• leading by influence and inspiration
• complex, multifaceted operations in health care are understood
• having led complex change projects or scenarios
