Materials Handler 3

Key point of contact for hospital shipping and receiving processes. The MH3 is responsible for maintaining adequate stock in clinical areas by utilizing the Just-in-Time (JIT) inventory. Acting as liaison between Supply Chain Logistics and the end user/customer, maintaining the supply cart locations. Ensuring proper flow of PO activity cross-docked via the MUMC receiving site which will include updating purchase order status, data entry into systems, shipping/receiving of goods, and in-hospital transport of materials and equipment. 

1. Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications as necessary
3. Must have excellent keyboarding skills
4. Knowledge of Ormed Materials Management software an asset
5. Knowledge of EfficientC software an asset
6. Experience in warehousing/purchasing environment
7. Proficient computer knowledge and keyboarding skills required
8. Accurate mathematical skills
9. Demonstrates precise attention to detail
10. Good physical ability, must be able to lift, push and pull using good body mechanics
11. Must have a Drivers License
12. Ability to work independently as well as a team member
13. Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the health care team
14. Ability to demonstrate attributes that contributes to a respectful caring environment
