The Supply Chain Logistics Portfolio provides integrated procurement and supplies distribution support across the Juravinski Hospital & Cancer Centre, the Hamilton General Hospital, St. Peter's, Maplewood, Chedoke, McMaster and West Lincoln Memorial Hospital sites. Primary functions include procurement, contract development, management & administration, and supply chain distribution. In addition the program supports the procurement needs for all capital and major redevelopment projects and manages formal relationships with GPO's and other strategic alliances including Mohawk Supply Chain Services - a Shared Services Organization providing the hospital’s warehousing and JIT inventory system support, among other services.

This position is eligible for a hybrid remote work arrangement, in accordance with HHS’ Remote Work Policy.


Qualifications

1. University Undergraduate Degree or equivalent progressive experience (minimum 5 years in a management role) in sourcing and procurement.
2. Certified Professional Purchaser (CPP) or comparable education and/or certification.
3. In depth knowledge of and experience with Broader Public Sector procurement directives
4. Demonstrated experience with RFP processes, contract development, vendor negotiation and dispute resolution.
5. Past success with vendor management and performance processes.
6. Demonstrated effective analytical, strategic and decision making abilities with highly developed communication skills and customer service focus.
7. Demonstrated excellence in supporting decision making, team building, and the ability to model positive change and to support creativity and innovation.
8. Demonstrated skill and commitment to working cooperatively and collaboratively with your team, customers, and suppliers.
