Human Resources Reporting Lead

Reporting to the Director, HR Support Services, this role provides subject matter expertise to the organization in HR Reporting and Analytics.  Leads complex internal and external standardized reports, metrics, costings, and surveys as it relates to HR systems data.  The HR Reporting Lead manages the reporting function of HR wide projects often controlling timelines, deliverables and guiding other members of the HR team on tasks related to the project(s).  The role provides leadership on various major projects such as annual pension reporting, including the Member Data Collection (MDC), remittance support and submitting annual contributions for over 10,000 members, Ontario Health Association (OHA) surveys, benchmarking and other collections along with advancing internal reporting offerings.

Reporting encompasses multiple HR systems including HCM Cloud, PeopleSoft and Taleo and reporting formats include SQL, BI Publisher and Oracle Business Intelligence.  In order to accurately and efficiently report on data, this role requires knowledge of all Human Resources facets, including a detailed understanding of their processes and procedures

The role will convey expertise, guidance and mentorship to the HR Reporting Analysts as well as the overall HR department through specialized knowledge of the HR Reporting and Analytics.  This role also triages all internal and external requests to determine priorities for the HR Reporting Analysts.  The Lead sets the tone and expectations for client turnaround and service overall.

Qualifications
  • Advanced capabilities in human resource and reporting related software such as PeopleSoft and Oracle Cloud. 

  • Advanced capabilities creating, managing, and delivering reporting solutions (OTBI, BI Publisher, PeopleSoft Query Manager, etc.).

  • Subject Matter expert in all facets of Pension Administration

  • In-depth understanding of HR business fundamentals including employment legislation, HR operations, compensation, labour relations, payroll, pension and benefits.

  • Ability to design reporting specifications, build reports directly in the HCM Cloud system, direct developers on complex reporting specifications

  • Strong technical and analytic skills to develop data extraction queries, report preparation and data investigation

  • Ability to coach and mentor junior roles within the team

  • Strong understanding of reading/writing SQL.

  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and techniques with demonstrated success in leading projects/initiatives

  • Advanced capabilities in Excel such as Formulas, Pivot and Power Pivot Tables and other MS office applications.
