Description
The Human Resources Analyst - Reporting, works with clients and partners on various key initiatives such as completing human resources surveys, reporting on various HR metrics, completing analysis on employee data and preparing costing in support of bargaining with unions. The Human Resources Analyst - Reporting will also provide support for the HR/Payroll systems by performing employee data audits, identifying & resolving data issues, building reports, and participating in analysis, system testing, and validation. The HR Reporting team supports the bi - weekly payroll process, including audits, reporting, and data integrity. The majority of reporting will be out of the following HR data sources: HCM Cloud Oracle Business Intelligence, Taleo Oracle Business Intelligence and PeopleSoft Query Manager.
Specific Accountabilities:
Supports key stakeholders in generating reports, completing surveys, and preparing analysis on employee data across the organization.
Designs and/or customizes reports to support reporting requirements and decision-making tools for various stakeholders as requested.
Performs data manipulation and aggregation of data from multiple HR data sources (PeopleSoft, Oracle HCM Cloud, Taleo) to provide a holistic view.
Facilitates end-user understanding of system reporting capabilities, available data, and any report/analysis produced.
Provides costing and analysis support during preparation for and execution of collective bargaining on approximately five separate collective agreements.
Utilizes dashboards as appropriate to answer relevant business questions and communicates reporting data in a concise and user friendly format.
Performs audits on data pulled out of various HR systems (PeopleSoft, Oracle HCM Cloud, Taleo) to ensure quality data and information is used for reporting.
Leverage system and process expertise in analyzing and troubleshooting issues in order to find a resolution and determine root cause.
Participates in the analysis, testing, validation and implementation of new software installations and upgrades.
Supports the Compensation and Benefits team with implementing annual rate increases and retroactive payment validation
Assists in the annual member data collection process for the Healthcare of Ontario Pension Plan
1. 3-5 years HR, reporting and analytics, payroll, and HRIS experience.
2. 3-5 years experience in HR Oracle Systems preferably the reporting modules of PeopleSoft, Cloud and Taleo. SQL experience is preferred.
3. 3-5 years Reporting experience in a complex union and non-union environment. Experience in HR operations (compensation, recruitment, pension, benefits, etc.).
4. Undergraduate Degree (Business, Accounting, Human Resources, Computer Science, Statistics, or other relevant).
5. Requires scope and depth of knowledge and experience in all aspects of Human Resources.
6. Broad understanding of HR business fundamentals: employment legislations, recruitment, compensation, labour relations, payroll, pension and benefits.
7. Advanced capabilities in human resource and reporting related software such as PeopleSoft and/or Oracle Cloud. 8. Advanced capabilities creating, managing, and delivering reporting solutions (OBI, BI Publisher, etc.).
9. Experience creating queries from Oracle Business Intelligence and PeopleSoft Query Manager.
10. Experience with using Crystal Reports and a strong understanding of reading/writing SQL.
11. Advanced capabilities in Excel such as Formulas, Pivot and Power Pivot Tables and other MS office applications.
12. Strong technical and analytic skills to develop data extraction queries, report preparation and data investigation.
13. Ability to interpret information needs to support organizational needs.
14. Strong understanding of HR Systems & Processes in large, complex organizations.
15. Experience with variety of HR systems including applicant tracking, payroll/timekeeping, security and business intelligence tools.
