We are looking for a vice president of finance to join one of our clients in the fashion industry!

Permanent position, full time.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and month-end and year-end closings; ensure accurate consolidation of financial statements across multiple locations;
  • Manage and monitor the company’s credit facilities, ensuring optimal utilization and maintaining strong relationships with financial institutions;
  • Direct cash flow management, liquidity planning, and investment strategies; implement risk mitigation measures to safeguard company assets;
  • Produce detailed financial reports, forecasts, budgets, and KPIs; analyze financial performance to inform senior leadership on business trends, opportunities, and risks;
  • Coordinate intercompany transactions, legal documentations, supplier contracts, and administrative policies to ensure alignment between finance and operational teams;
  • Develop and improve internal processes, controls, and compliance measures to increase efficiency, accuracy, and security within financial operations;
  • Ensure compliance with Canadian and U.S. tax laws, financial regulations, and industry standards; oversee the preparation and filing of tax returns and financial statements;
  • Lead, mentor, and develop finance and administrative teams across Montreal and New York; foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.

Requirement

  • 8–10 years of experience in accounting, financial management, and administrative coordination, ideally within a multi-location, multinational environment;
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, administration, or a related field (CPA designation highly preferred);
  • Solid experience managing credit lines, preparing complex financial reports, and overseeing administrative activities;
  • Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations (Canada and U.S.), and compliance requirements;
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365) and financial software;
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities;
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
